Glass and Spacers

Glass
4mm K glass
This is the standard supplied glass for our sealed units. K glass has a microscopic coating which reflects heat back into the room. It also allows heat from the sun in, known as passive solar gain allowing for high Window Energy Rating. This complies with energy saving Building Regulations Part L. It can aslo be toughened or laminated for safety and greater security. K glass is manufactured in strict accordance to BS EN 1279:2002. We also offer K glass in 6mm.
 
Toughened glass
Our toughened glass has a special treatment applied to it after it is cut and finished. This means if the glass is broken it will break into small pieces without sharp edges. Toughened glass is ideal for glazed doors for safety and low lying windows for security. Toughened glass is manufactured in strict accordance with BS EN 12150:2004
 
Laminated Glass
Our laminated glass is coated in a flexible material designed to hold the glass in place if broken. Our K glass and toughened glass can also be laminated.
 

Spacer Bars
We offer our 20mm range of spacer bars and corner ways with door access to allow entry into the sealed glass units.
 
Our spacer bars have 2 legs to prevent the blind dragging on the soft coat on the in side of the glass when the blind is moving.
 
Also our spacer bars can take our Multi colour LEDs at the bottom of the units and have a diffuser Lenz that fits on top of the bottom spacer bar.
 
To meet the your needs we offer them anodised to a full range of colours.
 
Thermal insulation polycarbonate spacer bars available colour co-ordinating corner ways and blind colours to help blend the blind into the window frames and surroundings.
 
Our corner ways have been designed with thought, they have access entry points for the doors so that the blind motors, multi colour LED Lights and other components can be removed and replaced with simple plug and go change over components, or if there is butyl or adhesive on the blind slats they can be cleaned off without the need of remaking the glass unit.
 
The doors are extra narrow to fit thought the glazing automatic butyl machines to allow smooth flow and glass assembly
